Getting the Word Out About Your App Without Spending Lots of Money

by | Apr 24, 2014

girl_holding_out_phone_200pxAfter many years of managing mobile apps for brokers and agents across the county, there seems to be a common question I run across when it comes to distributing apps: what are some cost effective ways to market it?

Here is a list of strategies all real estate agents need to effectively distribute their app. Many of these are proven ways that my brokers and agents have used to effectively increase their app downloads.

  • Send out regular emails to dozens, if not hundreds, of your clients and potential clients promoting your apps. Add your text code and app downloader links below your contact information for every email. This only takes 30 seconds of your time!

  • Utilize a free bit.ly account to transform your app downloader link into multiple links. Then post each transformed link onto one social media site. These include Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit... the list is endless.

Notice the common themes in this group? All of these are easy for you to do. They are simple for your clients to access and download right on their phone regardless of device, and they are all mobile.

Sure, incorporate your text code on your business card, open house flyers, and website. But just be sure to devote a good portion of your digital strategy with low cost (or no cost) initiatives. You may be surprised at your results!
