Palm Beach County real estate will continue outperforming the national average because of continued population gains, a growing economy and spectacular amenities, South Florida top brokers and real estate analysts said at the Jupiter-Tequesta-Hobe Sound Council of the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (JTHS-MIAMI) Rock the Market conference on Feb. 28 in Jupiter.

Rock the Market events equip South Florida Realtors with the latest market information, services and trends so they can better serve their clients.

“We’re bullish on 2017,” The Keyes Company President and CEO Mike Pappas said during the event. “No question there is an optimism (about South Florida real estate). I think you felt it after the (presidential) election, the economy is very strong. Demographics are very strong.”

About 500 South Florida Realtors attended the JTHS-MIAMI Rock the Market conference at the Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place. The event was the third, standing-room-only Rock the Market conference and expo MIAMI has hosted this year.

More than 700 Realtors participated in Rock the Market Miami on Jan. 19 at Jungle Island and more than 400 Realtors engaged with speakers at Rock the Market Broward on Jan. 10 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. MIAMI will host Rock the Market events in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties again in the fall. Visit http://www.miamire.com/RocktheMarket for the latest information.

Palm Beach Population, Brand on the Rise
Palm Beach County’s population grew 7.7 percent from 2010 to 2016 and is projected to increase by 6 percent in 2021, Integra Realty Resources (IRR) Senior Managing Director and 2016 MIAMI Industry Analyst of the Year Anthony M. Graziano said during his presentation. That’s five times the population growth of most U.S. metropolitan areas.

Palm Beach’s brand — country club golf courses, open spaces and suburban development — has a unique appeal to home buyers. The Palm Beach brand is distinct from Miami and speaks to the attraction of South Florida, where urban and suburban living is second to none.

Despite the recent increase in sales, South Florida remains considerably undervalued compared to other world-class global markets such as New York and San Francisco, Douglas Elliman Florida CEO Jay Phillip Parker said. Graziano echoed that point during his Rock the Market Jupiter presentation.

“You can buy a waterfront condo in Martin County for $280,000,” Graziano said. “I’m not sure why they aren’t all gone.”
